Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft Urban Regeneration

23 March 2006

 

1st East aims to generate economic growth and create jobs by co-ordinating public and private sector initiatives in the brownfield and waterfront areas of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.  It is one of 21 urban regeneration companies in the UK all led by the private sector but with some funding from Government.  The company is funded by EEDA, Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Waveney District Council.

Great Yarmouth Outer Harbour

The Big ‘C’ Appeal

The generous donations from the property dinner raised £400 for this local cancer charity and the money has been passed to them.

The Monopoly Quiz was won by Table 31 which comprised WSP Group, Helen Osgood and BLC Builders.  Their winning score was 17 from a possible 20 – congratulations and we hope there was not too much argument about who had the prize – The Norwich Version of Monopoly.

For those who wish to check their answers or want to know more than they really need to know about Monopoly the full answers are attached.

For those really interested in the arcane delights of the world of monopoly there are over 9,000 hits on Google.  Just type in “monopoly” – you get the full story of anti-monopoly for example.
